Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is an emollient that softens the skin. Derived from the seeds of an evergreen shrub native to the American Southwest, it is cold-pressed to maintain the most nutrients possible as the seed is crushed to an oil. As a skincare product, it has anti-inflammatory properties that help in reducing redness and easing symptoms of issues like eczema and extreme dryness.

Lavender

A native flowering plant of the Old World, lavender is known for aromatherapeutic benefits of soothing stress and improving moods. Its scent produces a relaxing atmosphere, while as an oil it acts as an anti-bacterial that can fight off acne when applied topically.

Tallow

Tallow is derived from the fatty tissue of cattle. A cherished ingredient across cultures, it was used in Ancient Egypt for its hydration properties and Ancient Greeks and Romans used it for its immense healing uses. Its molecular make up is extremely similar to skin, allowing it to be easily absorbable through the skin barrier while also naturally strengthening it. It hosts naturally occurring vitamins A, D, E and K and is high in conjugated linoleic acid, aiding in skin rejuvenation. Using organic and grass-fed and grass-finished tallow further fortifies this natural ingredient.

Sandalwood

Sandalwood is a small tree native to Western Australia, India and the Phillipines. Its distinctive scent has been highly valued for centuries in aromatherapy for its grounding essence. It boasts anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antiseptic and hydrating properties in skincare.

Snow Mushroom Extract

The snow mushroom is also known as the tremella mushroom. It grows on decaying branches in wild tropical and subtropical climates; its use in skincare dates to Ancient China. Its strength lies in its ability to improve the skin barriers capacity to retain water, allowing the skin to remain hydrated for extended periods of time after topical application. Snow mushroom extract has 15% more hydrating properties than hyaluronic acid.

Sweet Orange

Originating from China, sweet orange provides an uplifting aroma while simultaneously reducing the growth of the microorganisms that initiate the inflammatory response leading to acne.

Squalane

Yeast is fed non-GMO sugarcane to ferment into squalane, a silky, bio-based ingredient that mimics the natural squalane in our skin. Squalane is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores, while working as a natural emollient to prevent moisture loss.
